Description
Final's acoustic research team has discovered a new physical property that is distinct from the characteristics traditionally used as industry references. This new sound property has shown that music can be heard with unprecedented clarity compared to conventional standards. At the same time, we realized that expressing this new sound in words is challenging.
Expressions such as "bass texture" and "high-frequency extension" are commonly used in many audio products, and we have used similar descriptions ourselves in the past to indicate the superiority of certain frequency ranges. However, this time, we encountered a completely new experience where every aspect of the sound, including depth, is in sharp focus, regardless of which frequency range, instrument, or voice you pay attention to.
We found it difficult to find words to describe this impression, which felt akin to being overwhelmed by the high resolution of the next-generation video standard, "8K." Therefore, we decided to name this sound "8K SOUND." Similar to 8K video, there is a brief period of adjustment as your senses adapt to the high level of detail, but once you acclimate, there's no turning back.
