Description
This fun tea towel celebrates the hospitality of the region, which the UAE is well known for. It features a repeated design of a traditional Arabic coffee cup. Arabic coffee (Gahwa' in the Emirati Arabic dialect) is considered a symbol of the generosity. At every Emirati home or Majlis it is likely you will be welcomed with a finyal (small handle-less cup) filled with gahwa. There is a lot of etiquette associated with serving and receiving gahwa, including the most important guest is served first, the guest should hold the cup in their right hand to receive it, and when you are full, and don't want a top up, you gently shake the cup to indicate you have finished. The design has been silk screen printed in Little Majlis' signature colours of teal blue and pink on the front of a crisp white 100% cotton twill tea towel. It measures 46 x 64cm when unfolded. The back of the tea towel has an embroidered loop tag for easy hanging in the kitchen. Each tea towel is heat sealed to retain the print when washed, and folded with a stiffening card and packaged with a recyclable paper sleeve around its middle. This tea towel makes a fun gift from the Gulf. If you like it, we're guessing you'll also love our local icons sticker sheets. Made in United Arab Emirates.
