DID YOU KNOW? Sharks have no bones – their skeleton is made of cartilage, which is a tough, fibrous substance, not nearly as hard as bone. Sharks have a streamlined body shape that glides smoothly through the water and contains five to seven-gill slits which they use to respire.
The Blacktip Shark is common to coastal tropical and subtropical waters around the world. They are swift and energetic and are known to make spinning leaps out of the water while attacking schools of small fish. Most Blacktip Sharks are found in water less than 30 meters deep, and they love living in habitats like muddy bays, island lagoons and near coral reefs.
