Octopus gets its name from the Greek word, in which "okto" means eight and "puos" means foot. It has eight tentacles and hence can be easily distinguished from squids. If it feels threatened, it releases an ink-like liquid, which spreads in water like a cloud. Thus it can disguise the direction of escape. The Schleich Octopus is made of child-safe materials which make it ideal for little hands. It is highly detailed to make it look much more realistic. It can be used for various school projects and exhibitions.
