NAN Comfort 1 is a starter infant formula designed for babies from birth to 6 months, specifically formulated to manage minor digestive issues such as infantile colic, gas, flatulence, abdominal cramps, and constipation. This formula is fortified with iron and contains L. reuteri, a beneficial probiotic culture known to support healthy digestion, reduce excessive crying in colicky babies, and promote the development of a healthy gut. With its low lactose content, NAN Comfort 1 is ideal for infants with transient lactose deficiency, which is common in the first few months of life. The formula is made from skimmed cow's milk, whey protein concentrate, and a blend of vegetable oils including palm olein, rapeseed oil, coconut oil, and sunflower oil, along with essential nutrients like L-histidine, taurine, inositol, and L-carnitine. It also includes minerals, vitamins, and a Lactobacillus culture (DSM 17938 under license from BioGaia AB). NAN Comfort 1 contains milk and soy, making it an effective solution for babies with specific nutritional needs.
