When an above ground pool is in regular use you will soon notice that the filter pump works less efficiently and the water becomes dirtier. This is due to the filter cartridge being clogged with dirt and debris. There's only so many times you can clean it before it stops filtering out dirt and producing clean, clear water. It is recommended to change the filter cartridge at least every two weeks during periods of extended use.
