Recycled Rubber - We chose recycled rubber as the base material for our innovative outsoles with the dual purpose of flexibility and durability in mind. This second-life material avoids the need for further rubber farming, which often involves environmentally damaging forest clearance.
Developed with a passion for outdoor life now and for the future, Gumbies™ Islander Flip-Flops provide the freedom of minimalistic footwear while ultimately protecting the sole. Each style has been created with comfort, function and practicality in mind. The shape of the sole on our flip-ops are specially contoured to cradle the foot for ultimate comfort. EVA is used to add cushioning to our flip-flops for added comfort underfoot. Gumbies flip-flops all incorporate soft cotton toe posts for maximum in-between the toe comfort. No rubbing like with rubber or plastic flip-flops.
